We wish for simple things for Rory…

To achieve what we all take for granted, to pick up a toy, to nod his head, to say daddy -

the daily miracles of every life.

Hi, my name is Rory and I am turning 3 years old in August 2010. I was diagnosed at birth with cysts on my brain which have caused me to have significant delays in my development. Because of the trauma in my brain I now have cerebral palsy and epilepsy.

I go to school 2 days a week with my friends and do lots of exercises. I am a very happy little boy and my teachers think I am clever so I would like to be able to learn how to communicate, mobilise my body and do lots of different things to make me even more clever. I have lots of dreams and I try very hard at everything that I do. I love my mummy to read books to me and to listen to music, and I especially love to go camping.

My mum calls me her precious little miracle because I had lots of operations and almost lost my life a couple of times in my first year. I was a very sick little boy but my mummy and daddy and my gran and opa were right by me the whole time.

My parents don’t have a lot of money but they try their very best to give me everything that I need to achieve my goals. Because of this they are fundraising for my therapies and medical expenses.

Funds raised are managed by The Developing Foundation Inc. 90% of the funds raised go directly to Rory's special needs. The balance is used to cover administration and credit charges. All donations of $2 or more are tax deductible and you will not receive any additional credit card charges.
