Well here we are again at Riverwalk time and here is Dylan in his new wheelchair, looking fit, healthy and happy thanks to the efforts of all our friends new and old, who are helping Dylan achieve his goals.

Dylan’s chair is all we hoped it would be. He is able to move, stretch and sit down again, remaining safely in his chair, with his hips and torso in alignment. His core strength is developing and his hips and weight bearing are improving again. In the car, he travels comfortably in his chair and we are expecting our next trip to Victoria to be much easier for him and for all of us.

This year in our fundraising we hope to continue his very valuable therapy and buy a shower/toilet chair and a portable walking frame. We now have a wonderful occupational therapist in Dylan’s team and she is helping Dylan to improve his grasp, his pointing and ultimately his ability to give clear answers and join in conversations. When he can point reliably he will be able to create language easily on his speaking device.

A big thank you to you all for your continued interest, love and support of our beautiful son. We are very blessed to have so many wonderful friends in our lives and we look forward to catching up with you all again this year.
