Fund Raising and Management
We facilitate fund raising and provide funds management for our families to help with the high costs of caring for a family member with special needs.
Annual Riverwalk
Each year we hold our annual "Riverwalk" to provide the opportunity for our families to raise funds through their network of family and friends. The event is held during Brain Injury Awareness Week in September each year. The event involves a 6km return walk along the Brisbane River commencing at Orleigh Park, West End. The proceeds are allocated to the participating family and are dedicated to meet the special needs of the family member with a disability.
Funds Management
Funds raised by participating families are managed through our Deductible Gift Recipient Account. We pay expenses such as therapy, aids, equipment, educational materials, etc on behalf of clients with brain injury or developmental disability.
